Global Health 101 is one of the central courses in the public health degree program at UW. In this class, we are given an introduction to global health, the burden and distribution of disease and mortality, the determinants of global health disparities, global health policies, and global health interventions. As a part of this class, each student is required to write a grant proposal to the Global Fund for a health intervention program of our design to address a health disparity in a developing country. The assignment was submitted in parts, concluding with a final proposal. For my project, I designed a health intervention program to combat HIV/AIDS in Cameroon.
